If you are having trouble connecting your softener to WiFi, please read through our guide below, and reclaim your device in Step 5 if necessary.
1. Have you previously connected to your softener successfully?
-
- YES; Continue to step 2 below.
- NO; Check that Location Services and Bluetooth are both turned on in your mobile device settings (instructions below), and follow the Quick Start connection steps again.
iPhone > Settings > Scroll down & click on iQua app > Bluetooth ON
Samsung > Connections > Bluetooth ON.
2. Open the iQua™ app and confirm the Wifi network selected on your mobile device and water softener are the same network.
Quick Fact: The water softener can only support a 2.4 GHz Wifi band. Refrain from using a 5GHz Wifi connection with this unit.
3. Check the signal strength on your mobile device. If you are only seeing 1 or 2 bars, your wifi signal may not be strong enough.
4. If possible, move the Wifi router closer to the softener. There are a handful of things that could cause wireless signal interference: cordless phones, baby monitors, remote controlled toys, microwave ovens, seasonal lighting, or even garage door openers. Temporarily shut these devices off.
Structure materials in walls, floors, and furnishings may also cause interference:
Interference Potential |
Type of Material |
Low |
Synthetic material, wood, glass |
Medium |
Brick, marble, water |
High |
Concrete, plaster |
Very High |
Metal |
5. After making adjustments, test the Wifi signal again. If you had previously had a stable connection to the unit, the Wifi should automatically connect. If not, follow the connection steps below:
a. In the App - Go to the Home Screen and press the '+' button (this does not add a second device, just reclaims your current unit).
b. On the Softener - Press and hold the Up/Down arrows together until 'CONN' appears on the on the display.
c. In the App - Click on the serial number that appears below the Available Device(s). Then, select your home wifi network and enter the password.
d. Create a nickname and click Save and Continue.
e. Create a nickname for your unit, and click 'Complete Setup'.
f. On the softener - The display screen should go back to the time. If it still shows the 'CONN' screen, press Select on the softener.

How long will the server not work?
My softener reported loss of internet connection on 12/23/21 @ 11:43 pm. Its been 6 days already with no resolution.
Thank you both for your comments, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Our team is working hard to fix the server, and will send out a resolution email when completed. If you would like to be added to that list, please Submit a Request.
Okay, don't you think this is getting a little ridiculous? It's been down for almost 2 weeks now! When is this going to be fixed? It's very frustrating! I'm really regretting purchasing this system, being that this is one of the main reasons I optd for this system over others.
Hey Dan,
Been waiting on a resolution email and noticed my system reconnected automatically this morning @ 1:41 a,m. Hope it remains functional, no email yet. Down for almost 2 weeks :(
Oh, that's good to hear! Mine is still showing disconnected, but maybe I'll try reconfigure the wifi settings and see if that jumps starts it again. Thanks!
Thank you for your comments and patience as our team worked with Amazon to resolve the server outage. The outage has been resolved, and steps to reconnect are post here - Reconnecting Your System - WiFi Outage
Please Submit a Ticket to us if you need further assistance!
Thanks,

When I went down to the water softener, it had solid green light, but app still showed it offline. Using the Configure Wfi go through C-2 and just stalled out. I had to unplug the unit, wait a few seconds and then plug back in. Shortly after, light went green again and I received a text saying connection restored, and the app finally showed online again.
It looks like all the data for the last two weeks has been lost, however, which kind of stinks, but glad it's back online again.
