Did your softener lose connection to the home WiFi? Below we'll go through a few steps to get that reconnected. Let's get started!
Please Note: Sometimes it can look the unit has disconnected because it's dropping off the app, but really the unit has just timed out for the next 6 hours.
1. First, you'll need to unplug your WiFi Router and water softener, then replug them both back in.
2. Turn your phone off, and then turn it back on. Once it's powered up again, open up the iQua App.
3. In the App - Once in the app, on the Home Screen press the '+' button (this does not add a second device, just reclaims your current unit).
4. On the Softener - Press and hold the Up/Down arrows together until 'CONN' appears on the on the display.
5. In the App - Click on the serial number that appears below the Available Device(s).
6. In the App - Then, select your home WiFi network and enter the password.
7. On the softener - You will see a series of C-1 (connecting to phone), C-2 (connecting to WiFi), and C-3 (connecting to softener) appear as the connection steps progress:
8. In the App - Create a nickname for your unit, and click 'Complete Setup'.
9. On the softener - Did the display screen go back to the time clock?
- YES - Great, you've reconnected!
- NO - If you completed the set up, but it still shows the 'CONN' or 'C' screens, the system has timed out. You'll need to remove the device from your app/account and follow these instructions again.
